GNC Holdings' agreement Monday with New York state to conduct new, more thorough testing procedures for herbal supplements resulted in a nearly 7 percent rise in the company's share price as both sides heralded the accord as a victory. The Downtown Pittsburgh-based company was one of four retailers New York accused of selling supplements whose ingredients could not be verified or that contained ingredients not listed on the labels.
