Harlem Renaissance celebrated at Dreamland

Emmy-winning soprano Adrienne Danrich will bring her musical tribute to the Harlem Renaissance to the Dreamland Theater Sunday in the third installment of the Nantucket Arts Council's 2015 Downtown Celebrity Concert Series. "Echoes of the Harlem Renaissance" celebrates the 1920s and 1930s in Harlem, N.Y., honoring African American writers and musicians from the early 20th century in song and pictures, including Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Langston Hughes, James Weldon Johnson, Duke Ellington and others.
