The long-running battle between the downtown Albany nightclub Legends on Pearl, its neighbors and the city intensified this week, with an attorney for Legends filing a federal legal complaint alleging the city's cabaret-license law is unconstitutional. The papers, filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York, also charge the city's process for suspending or revoking Legends' cabaret license, required if an establishment wishes to host DJs, is unfair and inconsistently applied.
