Canton's Village Tree Inventory Project is to receive $17,000 and Ogdensburg's Downtown Gateway Tree Planting is due $12,000 in grants announced today by the state Department of Environmental Conservation. The aim of the program is to help protect air, water and natural resources, and enhance urban communities, according to DEC Commissioner Joe Martens.
