Market St Clears After Protest, Oakland Protestors Remain Downtown

Market Street in San Francisco has cleared and traffic resumed following a protest in response to a New York City grand jury's decision not to indict a police officer in the death of Eric Garner, an unarmed black man who died while in a police chokehold restraint. The protest in San Francisco, in which protestors staged a "die-in" at Powell and Market Streets, blocked traffic for more than an hour.
